Ryan Serhant
Serhant has never waited for an invitation.
The former actor turned agent was one of the first real estate influencers, using Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing New York” to parlay fame into a bona fide real estate digital marketing strategy — and a brokerage that now rivals the city’s biggest players.
Breaking from Nest Seekers before the show wrapped in 2024, he launched Serhant, an independent firm that in five years cracked the top ranks of the city’s brokerages, placing sixth in Manhattan and fourth in Brooklyn in The Real Deal’s rankings. Today, the privately held company has more than 1,300 agents across 13 states — a rare New York stronghold in an era of consolidation.
Now he’s testing whether his outsider playbook travels. In summer 2025 Serhant signed a lease at 324 Royal Palm Way, planting his flag in Palm Beach — an insular market long dominated by a tight-knit circle of local power brokers. In recent months, he represented a buyer in a $350 million-plus oceanfront assemblage, recruited top agent Gary Pohrer from Douglas Elliman and secured trophy listings asking $95 million and $64.5 million.
Longtime brokers have questioned whether outsiders can stick. Serhant’s response: “Markets do not dictate your income. They dictate your strategy.”
