Vipin Nambiar

Founder and Managing Partner

Nambiar is another Dallas developer who got his start working in the Hunt family’s real estate operation. In 2017, he founded HN Capital Partners (“H” from Hunt, “N” from Nambiar), a real estate investment and development firm with a strong hospitality focus. Since then he’s dreamed of transforming the Dallas Design District, which is known for its art dealerships and furniture showrooms, into a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood. He’s said he draws inspiration for the redevelopment project from New York’s Meatpacking District.

He teamed up with New York-based McCourt Partners to snap up 40 acres in the neighborhood. The acquisition includes nearly 800,000 square feet of showroom, retail and flex office space. In 2024, the partners announced plans to develop Hi Line Square in the Design District. The project will feature a 30-story, 300-unit residential tower and a 17-story, 186,000-square-foot office tower. It will also include 45,000 square feet of retail and showroom space.

He owns Virgin Hotels Dallas, which is also in the Design District. Beyond the neighborhood, he owns W Hotel Dallas in Victory Park and the iconic Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek.

Nambiar, who was born in Mumbai, is on the board of the city of Dallas Housing Finance Corporation, a local affordable housing organization. He has donated to Sen. John Cornyn’s primary campaign against Ken Paxton.
