The Claremont Riding Academy, the nation’s oldest continuously operated horse stable, is up for sale. The owners of the four-story, 39,925-square-foot academy on West 89th Street are asking $10.9 million. Built in 1892, the academy is a designated city landmark, a stable for dozens of horses ridden in nearby Central Park and a place for teaching novice riders the ropes.
