WTC study prompts skyscraper guidelines

A federal study to be released Thursday calls for stronger safety guidelines for tall buildings. The three-year study by a government panel of the collapse of the World Trade Center should call for major changes in the planning and construction of skyscrapers to help people survive terrorist attacks, accidents and natural disasters. more [NYT]
