MTA edging toward approval of Ratner bid

The real estate division of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority recommended Monday that the MTA approve developer Bruce Ratner’s Bid For Building Over The Atlantic Avenue railyards in Downtown Brooklyn. Ratner, owner of the New Jersey Nets, plans a new arena for the basketball franchise as well as several residential buildings there.
