The New York Jets are apparently in close negotiations with the New York Giants to split the cost of a new stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. The Jets had recently toyed with the idea of building one in Flushing Meadows, Queens, even enlisting city leaders for support. Now, the NFL franchise, already thwarted on a stadium on Manhattan’s far West Side, look as if they’re going to ditch the Big Apple altogether and stay in Jersey. more [NYDN]
