Navy Yard’s Deutsch to head Downtown Alliance

Eric Deutsch, president and CEO of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corp., will succeed Carl Weisbrod as president of the Alliance for Downtown New York, the city’s largest business improvement district. Weisbrod left the Alliance in July after 10 years to become executive vice president of Trinity Church and president of its real estate division. Deutsch, according to an announcement from the Alliance, will take over as president on Nov. 1. He has managed for the city the 300-acre, 3.5-million-square-foot Brooklyn Navy Yard industrial park since 2002.
