What’s the future for Time Warner Center?

Some are doubting the future of the Time Warner Center barely a year and a half into its existence. The Columbus Circle benchmark still commands some of the highest retail prices per square foot in Manhattan and has condos along with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. But celebrity chef Charlie Trotter recently backed out on plans to open a restaurant in the Time Warner Center and the V Steakhouse may leave soon, fueling speculation that the center’s mall aspect may never fully gel. more [NYT]
