A conversion in Morningside Heights has laid bare what rights renters have when a landlord decides to go condo. Basically, there’s not much renters can do, as tenants of a building at Riverside Drive and 95th Street are finding out. Their landlord announced the conversion in late 2004, and, one by one, more than 100 tenants left the building after the landlord refused to renew their leases. more [NYT]
