City plans to tax Madison Square Garden

The city is reportedly pinning its hope for far West Side development on the planned Moynihan Station. But a plan to move the current Madison Square Garden across the street to Moynihan Station could fall through because the city plans to tax the arena’s owner, Cablevision.
