City faces student housing shortage

New York City apparently does not have enough student housing — and students, both graduate and undergraduate, continue to crave coming to the city. New York University, for instance, announced earlier this year that applications for freshman admission topped 35,000 for the first time. Nonprofits and private developers are working together to develop alternative sites for student housing. more [Sun]
