Moynihan Station may erase Midtown plaza

Some New Yorkers are unhappy about plans to raze one of Midtown’s few Public Plazas to make room for an expanded Penn Station. A 50- to 55-story building named 1 Penn West is slated for the corner of 34th Street and Eighth Avenue as part of the state’s plan for Moynihan Station, the new transport hub that would connect to Penn Station.
