Fresh fuel for Atlantic Yards controversy

A fresh controversy has broken out involving the already controversial Atlantic Yards project in Prospect Heights. A leader of Develop Don’t Destroy Brooklyn, a group opposed to the project, recently described African-American supporters of the project as tools of “their wealthy white masters.” Proponents of the project, which would include a new arena for the New Jersey Nets, called on Monday for the leader to apologize for the remark. more [NYDN via NYO]
