Mayor announces South Bronx initiative

Mayor Bloomberg on Tuesday announced a new city initiative to develop and to sustain the revitalization of the South Bronx. The city won’t provide any new funding or staffing for what’s being called The South Bronx Initiative, but, according to the mayor, there will be a coordinated effort by city agencies to work with the Bronx borough president and local officials. more [NYDN]
