Eight towers are now envisioned for what would be the largest Manhattan development tract outside of Ground Zero. Developer Sheldon Solow wants to put up the towers — one more than originally proposed — on a 9-acre tract on the far East Side just below the United Nations’ headquarters, but he faces stiff criticism from local residents. more [Crain’s]
