Staten Island leads city in foreclosures

Staten Island led the five boroughs in foreclosures in May. A total of 337 Staten Island properties entered some stage of foreclosure in May — or, one new foreclosure filing for every 487 households — according to a report from RealtyTrac. That’s a rate 2.6 times the national average. Brooklyn had the second most May foreclosures of the five boroughs, with 936 properties — or, one for every 995 households — entering foreclosure. more [Advance]
