Housing inventory spikes nationwide

Inventory nationwide spiked for the 12 months ending April 30, according to recent figures from the National Association of Realtors. The number of homes for sale was up 37 percent during that period, and, at the same time, the rate of sales slowed, leaving now 6 months’ worth of supply on the market, up from 4.1 months a year earlier. more [CNN/Money]
