Hotelier plans 47th Street boutique

A four-star boutique hotel is headed to the Midtown site of what’s now a century-old, two-and-a-half-star hotel. Hotel developer Hank Freid has bought the Portland Square at 132 West 47th Street, and plans to spend $7.5 million on creating a luxury hotel called Sanctuary with 115 rooms. more By Tom Acitelli
