Navy Yard owes city $2.2M

The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation owes the city $2.2 million in back rent, according to New York City Comptroller William Thompson. Thompson said that “seriously flawed” leasing policies and recordkeeping practices on the part of the nonprofit that manages the 3.5 million-square-foot Navy Yard helped lead to the rent shortfall. more [Crain’s]
