A bit of good news, finally, for riders of the G train. The MTA’s 2007 budget proposes extending the line south along F train tracks through Park Slope. The announcement came as a pleasant surprise to many riders of the “MTA’s stepchild of a subway line,” as there had been talk earlier this year of further cutbacks to G service. more [NYDN]
