Toy Center may not go condo

Apparently looking to cash in on the hot Manhattan office market and avoid being part of the residential conversion crush, the owner of the International Toy Center has backed off plans to build luxury condominiums in his famed, two-building Madison Square complex. The Post’s Steve Cuozzo reports that Toy Center owner Joseph Chetrit has approached top brokers, asking them to find him commercial tenants to fill the well-known buildings at 200 Fifth Avenue and 1107 Broadway, which are connected by an eight-story footbridge.
