A state board has approved Brooklyn’s Atlantic Yards project, clearing the way for construction of the $4 billion mixed-use development. The three-member Public Authorities Control Board, consisting of Governor George Pataki, Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno and State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, unanimously approved the project at its meeting this afternoon.
