The Metropolitan Transportation Authority yesterday signed a $337 million contract to begin construction on the Second Avenue subway. The new contract allows construction teams to begin digging between 92nd and 95th streets in April. The first section of the subway line will run between 63rd and 92nd streets and is scheduled for completion by 2013. more [Sun]
