Second Ave subway groundbreaking

The MTA announced yesterday that groundbreaking for the Second Avenue subway will occur on April 12 at Second Avenue and 99th Street. The first phase of the project, which is expected to be completed in 2013, will cost $3.8 billion and include stations at 96th, 86th and 72nd streets. more [NYT]
