Gravesend library seeks rent hike

The owners of a property that houses the Brooklyn Public Library’s Ulmer Park branch in Gravesend is seeking a rent hike from the BPL. The owner of the space says it is not receiving fair market rent from its tenant. The city may end up buying the 8,000-square-foot library, one of a handful it does not own outright. more [NYDN]
