New chair for Javits expansion

Carl Loewenson, a partner at Morrison & Foerster LLP, has been elected chair of the New York Convention Center Development Corporation, which is overseeing the expansion of the Jacob Javits Convention Center. The expansion of the convention center, which will reportedly cost $1.4 billion, will increase its square footage by 45 percent and involve the construction of a 1,500-room hotel. Loewenson is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. TRD
