The Real Deal New York

Giant Lincoln Square Synagogue a go

May 11, 2007 12:00AM

Space for new facilities for the Lincoln Square Synagogue has finally been found after a five year search. The synagogue, at 200 Amsterdam Avenue on 69th Street, will swap its current parcels and air rights for a 12,000-square-foot parcel owned by American Continental Properties Inc. The ACP land is 100 feet away from the synagogue’s present location, and ACP has agreed to pay for the majority of construction costs associated with the new synagogue. The Lincoln Square Synagogue will be built to 52,000 square feet, making it New York City’s largest new synagogue in 50 years. more [GlobeSt]
