Extell preps for 57th St. build

Extell Development Corp. has begun demolishing six buildings on West 57th Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues to make way for a mixed-use tower the firm will build on the site. Extell chief Gary Barnett said that while plans for the project have not been finalized, the building will be at least 50 stories high and will likely include a luxury hotel at its base and condos on upper levels. more [Post]
