NYU talks expansion with Villagers

New York University, which has said that it will need to expand its facilities by 6 million square feet over the next 25 years, held a meeting last week for Greenwich Village residents aimed at fostering dialogue about the school’s plans. The gathering was part of the university’s efforts to build new developments in a fashion that draws less criticism from Village residents than past expansions. At present, NYU’s decentralized campus takes up 15 million square feet, the vast majority of which is in the Village. more [NYT]
