The Battery Park City Authority, which requires that developers include space for public amenities in new buildings constructed in the Lower Manhattan neighborhood, has leased space for three cultural institutions in the Sheldrake Organization’s Riverhouse, a 264-unit condo. The nonprofit Poets House will join a branch of the New York Public Library and Mercy Co. as long-term tenants in the building. The organizations’ leases, which cost $1 a year, will run through 2069. more [NYT]
