A representative from one of the Domino Sugar Refinery’s developers released details about the massive Williamsburg project today. The Community Preservation Corporation and Isaac Katan intend to build 2,200 residential units on the 11.2-acre waterfront site and hope to break ground by late 2008 or early 2009. The mixed-use development, dubbed New Domino, is expected to cost between $1.2 and $1.3 billion. Beyer Blinder Belle will be the project’s architect of record. Current plans call for including four acres of open space and 120,000 square feet of retail space on the site. more [Curbed] and
