Many residents of 784 Columbus Avenue, who were evacuated from their building on Wednesday following the collapse of a retaining wall at an under-development condo next door, at 808 Columbus Avenue, say construction work at the neighboring site has been extremely intrusive. The Chetrit Group and Stellar Management are developing what will eventually be a 30-story condo at 808 Columbus with 359 units and a ground-floor Whole Foods. A spokeswoman for the Chetrit Group said the developer has made a point of addressing tenants’ concerns about the project, and that it would continue to do so. There is currently a stop-work order on the project. more [NYT]
