Danish amusement park eyes Coney

Economic Development Corporation president Robert Lieber and other top EDC officials flew to Copenhagen last week to speak with representatives of Tivoli Gardens, a 164-year-old amusement park that is considering opening a Coney Island branch. Lieber said Tivoli Gardens can serve as a good model for transforming Coney Island into a year-round attraction without the onsite hotels or time-shares developer Thor Equities has planned. more [Post]
