Plaza ballroom coming out this fall

The Plaza’s Grand Ballroom will re-open this fall after a $12.5 million renovation that aims to recreate the way the space looked in the late 1920s. The renovation is being paid for by Plaza Events, a catering company that has a 25-year contract for the facility. The caterer and the Plaza’s developer, Elad Properties, hope the ballroom is able to once again become an in-demand spot for socialite weddings and events. more [NYT]
