GVA Williams director to head Newmark Knight Frank Downtown

Hal Stein has been named managing principal at Newmark Knight Frank, where he will head the firm’s Downtown office. As a broker at GVA Williams for ten years, Stein brokered some large Downtown lease transactions and became a director in 2004. He was named one of the “Top Brokers of 2003” by CoStar for brokering the Health Insurance Plan of New York’s 555,000-square-foot lease at 55 Water Street. That year he brokered nearly 1 million square feet of office leases, including the city’s largest nonprofit office deal, the Legal Aid Society’s location at 199 Water Street. Stein is on the steering committee of the Real Estate Board of New York’s Lower Manhattan Rental Committee. TRD
