Party season is in full swing for Long Island’s real estate community. At last week’s black-tie gala held jointly by the Association for a Better Long Island and the Commercial Industrial Brokers of Long Island, the MC was former downstate economic development chief Pat Foye. CB Richard Ellis Brokers Martin Lomazow, Philip Heilpern and Richard Karson were named brokers of the year, and Damianos Realty Group won developer of the year. Newmark Knight Frank principal Charles Tabone won the lifetime achievement award. Tomorrow, the Real Estate Practitioners Institute of Long Island will host its annual spring luncheon in Jericho. And on Monday, the Downstate New York Chapter of the Society of Industrial & Office Realtors will hold its annual Long Island meeting in Melville.
