Atlantic Yards developer Bruce Ratner plans to ask city and state officials for more public subsidies for the struggling mega-project. That’s in addition to the $305 million in public subsidies that he’s already received. Some City Council members say Ratner’s latest move proves the project is a money grab. Although no public request has yet been made, in an April 2 conference call, Ratner’s cousin and FCE President Chuck Ratner told investors and analysts that more money would be needed. Ratner has said he will indefinitely delay most of the 16-skyscraper development. Now some council members are asking the money be given back.
