Manhattanites are looking to the Bronx for more affordable housing. Between 2005 and 2006, over 10,000 Manhattan residents moved to the outer boroughs, 4,680 of those to the Bronx. Brooklyn lagged behind the Bronx with 3,731 Manhattan transplants from 2005 to 2006.
