Assembly panel grills interim buildings commissioner

A New York state Assembly panel questioned interim buildings commissioner Robert LiMandri yesterday on the mistaken approval of the 51st tower where a crane accident caused seven deaths in mid-March. LiMandri could not give a definitive answer about the accident and conceded that New York could have over 40 construction deaths this year.
