After purchasing the mixed-use complex at 112-126 Ninth Avenue in Chelsea for $31 million, Morris Moinian is evicting the tenants in the development’s retail strip. Community activists have demonstrated in support of the stores there now, which Acevedo plans to replace with higher-end retail.
