Trophy towers like the Forbes Building at 60 Fifth Avenue have been stuck on the market for up to six months. Bids were due in September for the 145,000-square-foot building, which was expected to get in the $140 million range. RFR Realty put the 42-story, 570,000-square-foot tower at 17 State Street on the market early this year, but it’s reportedly been taken off of the market and is being refinanced. Broadway Partners was holding preliminary talks on 450 West 33rd Street, home to the Associated Press and the Daily News, but those talks have ended. And the St. John’s Center at 550 Washington Street, known for its big floor plates, was put up for sale in November, but nobody has paid the expected selling price of $600 million.
