Durst hires former DOB Commissioner

Former buildings Commissioner Patricia Lancaster has been hired by the Durst Organization as a consultant. Lancaster was forced to resign from the Department of Buildings in April after seven people died in the Turtle Bay crane collapse in March. Durst spokesman Jordan Barowitz said Lancaster was hired to help them understand the new city building codes that she drafted.
