Bronx pool hall now church 

A church has taken over a Bronx
property that was once the country’s biggest pool hall, which closed after the
city banned smoking in 2003. The Words of Life Church has leased the 20,000-square-foot
former garage at 5905 Broadway, where Fieldston Billiards drew pool sharks for
27 years. The church has leased the space with an option to buy for $3 million.
