A community board unanimously voted down a proposal to build green condos over an Atlantic Avenue bar. Developers Emily Fisher and Rolf Grimsted proposed a seven-story building where Hank’s Saloon now stands at Atlantic and Third avenues in Boerum Hill. The bar, once popular with Native American ironworkers and known for its live country music, is expected to remain on the ground floor of a new development. The loft-style condominium would have a brown-yellow brick facade designed to fit its surroundings.
