Brooklyn Heights street could become public plaza

The Montague Street Business Improvement District has proposed closing off three blocks on Sundays in July to create a “Summer Space” for cafe tables and a public lawn. The Brooklyn Heights space would stretch from Clinton Street to the Promenade. Shop owners hope the plaza will create pedestrian street traffic and improve summer sales.
