The fate of Coney Island will be discussed at the project’s first
public hearing next Tuesday at Abraham Lincoln High School on Ocean
Avenue in Brooklyn. Supporters of the amusement operators and
private developers will meet to sound off about the city’s
plans to buy land from private owners, including Thor Equities, win
over critics like Coney “mayor” Dick Zigun and find out where the hundreds of millions of dollars for the large project will come from.
