Brooklyn Bridge Park to partly open next year

Part of Brooklyn Bridge Park is expected to open by the end of 2009, but officials say the project only has enough money to complete two-thirds of the plans by 2012. Rising costs and legal battles have delayed the project and doubled the cost, leaving the 1.3-mile waterfront park with a $300 million price tag.
