Citigroup is emptying out some of its 18 floors in the Citigroup Center at 153 East 53rd Street, and Boston Properties might rename the building, moving it away from its namesake tenant in an attempt to attract new ones. Brokers say Boston will rename the building 601 Lexington Avenue. Boston recently bought the General Motors Building for $2.8 billion, whose naming rights might be up for sale.
