Eight Starrett City bids made

The second round of bidding for the massive Starrett City affordable housing complex in Jamaica Bay, Brooklyn, has drawn eight bids, which reportedly range from $700 million to $900 million for the 46 brick towers. One bidder is L&M Partners, a New York housing developer that has partnered with Enterprise Preservation Corporation, BRP Development and Goldman Sachs Urban Investment. Another group is made up of the Cogsville Group, the Housing Partnership Development Corporation, Aimco, the Clarett Group and the Christian Cultural Center. Other bidders include the NHP Foundation, a nonprofit developer, and its partner, the Related Companies; and the Greater Allen Cathedral Housing Corporation, with financial backing from JPMorgan Chase.
