Residents say Ikea’s not so bad

When Ikea announced it was moving to Red Hook, residents were afraid excessive traffic would ruin the neighborhood. Since the store opened, some critics have changed their minds. The free taxi and bus services the store provides have made it easier to get to Manhattan, heavy traffic isn’t common and some residents even go to Ikea just for some cheap eats, like the 50-cent hotdogs.
